Here are some things you may and may not bring...

 
WHAT TO BRING

• Insurance card, prescription card and the social security numbers for yourself and the policy holder.
• A complete list of the names, addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses of the people you/we will want to contact during your stay.
• If you are eligible for disability benefits while in residence, please obtain and bring appropriate forms with you from all employers.
• If you have a Health Care Proxy, Living Will or Do Not Resuscitate Order in place, please bring a copy of that document with you.
• Prescription Drugs, a minimum 30 day supply, with refills available to cover length of stay.
• Over-the-counter medications and vitamins are allowed, but must be in original unopened packaging. Opened packages will be discarded.
• Each resident is required to have a Big Book, Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions, Living Sober, Came to Believe. Cost for all books needed is around $30.
• You are welcome to bring any recovery or spiritual based books and literature with you, however other items deemed “pleasure reading”, such as newspapers, novels or magazines, are not allowed.
• Paper and pens or pencils and a non toxic highlighter.
• A large spiral notebook
• Stationery and stamps to write letters.
• Enough cigarettes for entire stay. Packages must be unopened. Open packs will be discarded. Staff will not buy or lend cigarettes to residents.
• Calling cards for long distance calls. Cell phones are not allowed. House phones are provided for out-going calls only during designated times.
• Internet access is provided to access e-mail accounts. It is recommended that you set up an internet based e-mail account (Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.) prior to registration.
• Toiletries to last for length of stay. Items containing alcohol and aerosols will not be allowed. All items must be in original packaging and unopened.
• Comfortable clothes and clothes for farming and exercise. Some activities take place outside so bring comfortable outdoor shoes or boots, warm coats or jackets, hats or appropriate outdoor wear for the season. You may wish to bring a sweater as the building is often cool during the warmer months. No drug or alcohol related sayings on attire. Pants must be worn above the waist and no head covers are to be worn inside the building. Revealing clothing is not allowed and all residents are required to wear appropriate undergarments. Staff has full discretion in determining appropriateness of dress.
• Residents are responsible for bringing their own detergent, fabric softener, etc. Laundry facilities, including ironing board is provided at no charge, however, there is no dry cleaning service available. Please remember to bring only washable items.
• Music players are allowed, however, must be clear of music at registration. A library of music and recovery items is available for download. If you have specific music or recovery requests we encourage you to bring along CDs/podcasts, etc. to add to the site library.
• We do have a safe for items, but encourage you not to bring unnecessary items of value.
• No DVD players or movies, no hand held gaming systems, no playing cards, no baseball hats, no laptop computers, etc.
• Personal pillows are allowed.

Perfume/colognes/aftershave
Mouthwash
Metal nail files
Nail polish/nail polish remover
Rubbing alcohol
Aerosol cans for any purpose
Astringents
Powdered products
Weapons or knives – pocket knives as well
All razor blades other than the cartridge type
Portable TVs
Cameras, cell phone, pager, lap top computers
Books, magazines, newspapers
Exercise equipment
